Meet Doctor Roel Gonzalez

Dr. Roel Gonzalez, or “Dr. G,” is a native Texan who returned home after an impressive educational and professional journey around the world. He earned his dental degree from the University of Pennsylvania, including enriching overseas externships in Thailand.
Following dental school, Dr. G proudly served as a U.S. Air Force Captain, completing the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base Medical Center in Ohio. He then cared for military members and their families as a general dentist in multiple Air Force hospitals in Japan.
After an honorable military career, Dr. G pursued pediatric specialty training at Children’s Hospital Colorado, one of the top-ranked pediatric hospitals globally. Today, he feels truly blessed to serve the San Antonio community alongside his wife, Dr. Ana Lavermicocca-Gonzalez.
Outside the office, Dr. G loves traveling, experiencing new cultures, and sharing good food (especially anything Dr. A makes!). He treasures special moments with his family, enjoys fun dates with his wife, and quality time with their two sons.

Dr. Ana Lavermicocca-Gonzalez, or “Dr. A,” graduated at the top of her class with a dental degree from the University Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho in Venezuela in 2004. She then pursued her orthodontic residency at Gamma-Filho University in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, completing it in 2007.
In 2012, Dr. A moved to the U.S. to follow her passion for pediatric dentistry, completing her specialty residency at the prestigious UT Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, English, and Italian, Dr. A enjoys connecting with families from all backgrounds. Outside the office, she loves cooking, traveling, and exploring new cultures and cuisines. She cherishes quality time with her husband, Dr. G, their sons Thomas and Lucas.
Dr. A feels truly blessed to practice in a family-owned and operated pediatric dental office alongside her husband, creating a warm, welcoming space where every child’s smile can thrive.
Meet Doctor Emanuel Alfonso
Board Certified Orthodontist
Dr. Alfonso has been creating confident smiles for more than 20 years. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 2003 from the University Gran Mariscal Ayacucho in Venezuela, where his early interest in orthodontics quickly grew into a passion for transforming smiles and building self-esteem.
In 2006, he completed his Specialty Diploma in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial Orthopedics at the Technological University of Mexico (UNITEC). After years in private practice in Venezuela, he was selected in 2014 for a prestigious fellowship in Orthodontics at the University of Florida in Gainesville. There, he advanced his expertise in the latest technologies, including Clear Aligner Therapy and Cone Beam Computed Tomography for orthodontic and surgical planning. He went on to earn a second Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of Florida in 2018.
Today, Dr. Alfonso combines his international training and experience to bring patients in San Antonio the very best in orthodontic care. He is a proud member of both the Texas Association of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists.
When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, you’ll find Dr. Alfonso enjoying the outdoors and spending quality time with his family.
Meet Doctor Joseph Moon
Board-Eligible Pediatric Dentist
Dr. Joseph Moon earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from A.T. Still University in Arizona in 2022. Following dental school, he practiced as a general dentist, where he discovered his passion for caring for children. This inspired him to pursue advanced training in pediatric dentistry, completing his residency with New York University Langone Hospitals in 2025.

Fluent in Korean, Dr. Moon is dedicated to making every child and family feel comfortable and understood during their dental visits.
Outside the office, Dr. Moon enjoys traveling with his wife, Gaby, and their corgi, Rey. He is an avid mountain biker, camping enthusiast, and automobile lover who feels most at home in the great outdoors. One of his personal goals is to visit every national park in the United States—a bucket-list adventure he’s excited to pursue.
